panthers, engagement, turkey, amy
Just got home from another UWM Panther loss. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's going to be a long season this year. As a season ticket holder, I still to do my part and go to games and cheer as much as my little heart will let me but boy, they sure are frustrating. Up next, the intercity battle with Marquette. It's nice that the two teams are finally playing each other, but unfortunately it's a couple years late for the Panthers as they seem a far cry from their Sweet 16 team a couple years ago.
A big "congratulations" to my little sister Jessica (pictured) who got engaged to her boyfriend Ben this past weekend. Kirsten and I are very happy for you both and are looking forward to the wedding day!
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. As some may know, it is my favorite holiday. I enjoy the overeating tremendously and this year was no different. We packed up the Jeep and headed north to St. Cloud for a nice weekend with the in-laws. The meal didn't disappoint. It had all the characteristics of success: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and, of course, gravy. Delicious. I hope you and yours also had a good one. Oh, and the mighty Packers won again setting up the showdown for this Thursday night with Dallas. I'm not feeling too confident. The Pack is a little banged up and are notoriously bad when playing in Dallas. As always, I'll be pacing around my living room watching and yelling. Go Pack!
And speaking of Dallas, a special "hello" to my favorite Dallas resident, Amy! I hope everything is going well. I know this year has been pretty bad as far as communication goes, but I hope to talk to you soon.

Awwww YAY. Cheers to engagements!!!
Booo to Panther losses.
Poor Packers, I think they needed more than extra yelling on your part last night. My Cowboys (I moved to Milw. from Dallas) totally made me proud!! :-)
Hello!! Thanks for the blog shout out, it is so nice to hear from you! I have been thinking about you a lot during my worldwind Packer tour. The game in Detroit was awesome, of course. The game here last night was disappointing on a few levels, mostly seeing Brett in pain, but still an amazing experience and a ton of fun. There were so many Packer fans here, it was just awesome. After the game, we got to see many of the players up close - AJ, Mr. Rodgers, Woodson, KGB, Driver, Ryan Grant, a glimpse of Brett getting on the bus. We even heard Deanna saying he was "good." Therese and I really wished you and Kirsten could have made the trip. Our tailgate was small but with the Packer fan invasion, we managed to have a great time. Hope to see you at Christmas! ~Amy
