And with the first pick....

The Bucks took Utah C Andrew Bogut with the first pick in the NBA Draft last night. I'm pretty excited about the pick. Though he's a big whitey, he's got some moves and a bunch of International experience (outscored Tim Duncan when they played each other in the Olympics). Hopefuly it will turn out more like when the took a center #1 overall in 1969 when they took Lew Alcindor and not like when the took a center #1 overall in 1977 when they took Kent Benson. Who? Exactly.

In the second round, they picked up a Forward, Ersan Ilyasova, from Turkey. Pretty good, very young player, who COULD turn out to be a steal. Word has it, the Bucks were trying to trade up to get him but the trades fell through and they ended up getting him anyway so they must be pretty high on him for some reason. We'll see. As long as they get Michael Redd resigned, I'll be happy.

Go Bucks!
