tree

Boom!

Now that's the type of snowfall I'm talking about. We got pounded yesterday to the tune of 2 feet. Okay, that number is unfounded but it was a shit load. The kind where I leave work at 2:00 saying "I need to get home safely. And when I get home, I'll be sure to pick work back up where I left off."

To be more accurate and honest though, I should have said "look, we're not in school anymore so no snow days for us but I am getting the hell out of here and heading to Best Buy on my way home to spend my afternoon buying a present for myself. See you fools tomorrow."

Yea, I'm a professional.

Anyway, I don't really have much to blog about. I'm not sure why since it seems like we have something going every day of the week this time of year. The latest development at our house is that we got our Christmas tree. Yes, I said Christmas, deal with it. Kirsten and I have come across a couple different places selling trees but it seems all the places in the city are crazy expensive. I'm sorry, but I'm spenging $10 a foot on a tree. So through a friend of Kirsten's, we were pointed to a tree place on Green Bay Ave. and highway 43 and it was money.

I can't for the life of me remember the name (perhaps if my lovely wife reads this she could leave the name in the Comments?) but they were very polite and their prices just could not be beat. They had great Balsams for $25 and Frasier's for $50-$60 which I'm told is a steal. Either that or my wife pulled a fast one on me. Anyway, it's up and glowing and providing joy to us and a providing a new toy to Olive but it looks great. I'll get some pics of it up here soon.

I hope you all are enjoying the winter season so far.

P.S. Big game tonight. UWM looks to beat up on the Badgers (right) so see you there.
