Brief Vegas Recap

Friday night: We were out until 5:30AM which would have been 7:30 WI time..rough. Went to a couple places in New York New York like a dueling piano place and ESPNZone to watch the Pack. Then went to Paris for many cocktails. Interesting conversations with people there. After that I believe we hit a couple gentlemen's clubs if I remember right.

Saturday night: We hung out in Ceasar's Palace for a while to watch the Brewers game. Then we went and watched the water show at the Bellagio. Then we went back to Ceasar's to an outside bar and picked up a couple drinks and walked up the strip. At Treasure Island we caught a cab downtown to hit some cheaper casinos which was fun..not nearly as uptight up there and MUCH cheaper tables, drinks, etc. I also found my new favorite table game up there. 3-Card Poker.

Sunday: Off to the airport. Emmett (best man) and I were supposed to have a late flight back but after smooth-talking the Midwest Airlines ladies, they let us on an earlier flight. Returned to Green Bay around 10:30 PM.

That's about it in a nutshell. I reserver the right to leave certain details out though :)

Work yesterday was rough. I was, and still am, so tired but great times were had. Thanks again guys for making the trip!!

What it's all about

I'm sure everyone that reads this knows about how great it can be to spend some time alone, chillin', by yourself. Tonight after volleyball I came home and I wasn't tired and I just didn't feel like watching any tv sooo what should I do? Well, it's time to take advantage of a few things.

Well currently, 10:30 PM, it's a beatiful night outside. Low 70's or upper 60's I'd guess. So I'm hanging out on my patio taking advantage of my wireless internet. While I'm hanging out, I'm enjoying a fattie stogie and finishing up a bottle of wine I opened the other night. Just great. Throw on top of that, I'm listening to some tunes streaming through my stereo inside my condo via my laptop & airport express. Crazy what technology does for us. I hope you all are enjoying your Wednesday night as much as I am. Oh, and we also won at volleyball!

Vegas tips?

Less then 2 weeks to go until my bachelor party in Vegas! I figured that I would take this opportunity to ask any of you regular Vegas visitors for any tips or suggestions on where to go. I've been there a couple times, including my best man's bachelor party last year. On Friday night, we went to Coyote Ugly, twice actually, which was a great time. I guess I am looking for some other places like that.

Now that I think of it, the Packers are playing Friday night. Anyone know of any solid sports bars to go to on the strip??

Show yourselves!

Taking a page from the Big Lug, I would like to invite any of you lurkers to step forward and say hello. Judging from my Stat Meter, I know some of you are friends of mine that visit my blog on a pretty regular basis but never leave comments. No need for me to identify you publicly, Amy, you know who you are. So to all of you, leave a comment even if it's just to say Hello!

Thanks

Dear Mom & Dad,

I just wanted to write to say 'thanks' for a great weekend. I know it had been many months since I have been able to make it to Green Bay and spend anything close to a significant amount of time up there because of a crazy summer filled with weddings, wedding showers, funerals, you name it. Perch at the Redwood Friday was great as always. It makes fish fry's here in Milwaukee look terrible.

Thanks Dad for coming and registering at FleetFarm with me on Saturday. With your expertise I think we made a pretty good list of items that will help me on my way to be as handy as you. Also. the steaks (and cocktails) on Saturday night were delicious.

Thanks Mom for all the time (and money) you are spending on Kirsten's shower. By the looks of things, it will be quite the affair and I'm sure she will enjoy it and feel even more like a member of the family.

See you both soon,

Derek

Happy Birthday Kirsten!

Yesterday was my soon-to-be wife's 26th birthday. Yep, I'm robbin' the cradle! Last night we went and tried out The Cheesecake Factory that recently opened up here in Milwaukee. It was great. I had the Cajun Jumbolaya Pasta (which I just finished for lunch) and it was delicious. I know it's a chain and all that, but it was really good! Anyway, happy birthday Kirsten!
